CountryPay is a versatile money transfer and e-wallet service solution. It provides all the services that EZPay provides plus more. Customers can transfer monies from their credit card and e-check accounts directly to other customers or merchants or they may choose to first fund their countrypay e-wallets and pay later. Additionally, countrypay provides for transferring monies from one person to another through local money transfer agents: neither person needs to be a countrypay accountholder. Accountholders may however fund their accounts (using cash) via a money transfer agent or they may choose to receive monies sent to them via an agent. One of the software’s unique features is the provision of bill collection agent capabilities: Customers (and non-customers) can pay their utility or other bills at any CountryPay bill collection agent once the utility company has signed up with CountryPay to provide this service to its customers.

Like EZPay, the CountryPay web application is built on top of Microsoft’s ASP.NET platform (C# programming language) using a robust SQL server database for data storage. It relies on XML (eXtensible Markup Language) for its web services interface, intra-application data communication, application configuration and in-memory data storage.

Like O3P, CountryPay uses an underlying digital certificate authority (called IDservices) for authentication and non-repudiation. IDservices is actually a separate software application that handles identity management. countrypay employs new, innovative security features to counter identity theft and fraud in addition to the now standard email and bank account verification security features of e-wallet applications.
