Lorne is the current Chief Operations Officer of BSN. He has served and continues to serve as the lead Business Development Manager, Business Requirements Analyst, Project Manager and Customer Interface Concept Designer on most of the projects undertaken by BSN.

Lorne possesses a Masters in Business Administration with a specialization in Enterprise Development and Finance from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Belize.

Prior to BSN, Lorne was employed as an Investment Analyst at the Belize Investment Management Company Limited (BIMCO) with particular responsibility for overseeing and monitoring the progress of the company’s housing and home improvement (capital) projects. He also served as Systems Administrator for the company’s computer local area network. He was later promoted to Acting Manager and Administrator for the company’s construction division where he was responsible for the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers and preparation of monthly financial and administrative reports.

While studying in Canada, Lorne worked as a consultant with a home construction company preparing a strategic audit of the company’s operations and developing recommendations for the company’s improvement. He also worked as a consultant for WiNexus, preparing a business and marketing plan for the provision of wireless networking products and services. In addition, he conducted an analysis of the implementation strategy for mbanx, the virtual banking division for the Bank of Montreal.

During his four and a half years at BSN, Lorne has served in various capacities. He was the lead designer and developer of a Job Tracking and Inventory Information System for a Major Construction Project in Belize, an Accounting Information System for Youngs Law Firm and an Accounting Information System for the Caricom Fisheries Project in Belize. He also developed all of BSN’s business plans for projects in the tourism, logistics and distribution and financial services industries.
